Employer Services Account Specialist

Reports To: Employer Services Manager

Primary Functions: Perform administrative and customer service functions for the Employer Services department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Become aware of and understand company culture so goals and objectives can be reached in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

2. Regular sessions to learn and develop position and responsibilities as well as office policies & procedures.

3. Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

4. Process and facilitate new employee onboarding, including I9, W4, and direct deposit verification.

5. Coordinate and administer employee benefit programs.

6. Work on becoming proficient in multiple workforce technology areas such as benefits, onboarding, compliance, human resources, reporting, and more.

7. Troubleshoot workforce technology questions and issues with clients and employees.

8. Develop client relationships to progress the client experience for our services.

9. Ability to organize and coordinate work schedule for a multitude of tasks, such as customer service requests, processing day-to-day tasks, scheduling, and conducting one-on-one onboarding and offboarding calls, and compliance reviews .

10. Learn about Benefit Compliance to assist clients in meeting compliance requirements.

Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent in.

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Two to three years working and training in the field of human resource, benefits, payroll or office management is greatly valued.

Experience/Skills:

• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products.

• Experience with multiple workforce technology systems and adaptability to embrace new technology.

• Project management skills and experience.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with co-workers and managers.

• Capability of effective planning and priority setting.

• Ability to manage several complex projects while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organization skills.

Expected Hours of Work: Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager

Reports To: Commercial Lines Manager

Primary Functions: Perform account management functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Become aware of and understand company culture so goals and objectives can be reached in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

2. Regular sessions to learn and develop position and responsibilities.

3. Manages the insurance renewal and marketing calendar for 80-100 accounts, generally mid to larger sized accounts, or a book revenue of around $450,000.

4. Provide technical assistance, marketing and direct account services to Account Executive or servicing team.

5. Serve as Account Executive on smaller accounts as determined by lead Account Executive/Producer.

6. Advanced user of agency management system (EPIC) and IR.

7. Communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, clients, and insurance companies regarding insurance programs.

8. Must have a good understanding of the insurance companies for placement of coverage through the marketing process.

9. Assist with training of new Customer Service Representatives & Account Manager I & II and assist in the duties of the Account Executive in his/her absence.

10. Makes visits to clients as requested by producer.

11. Assists Producer/AE or other AMs on the team with client servicing needs on other accounts.

12. Responds to client and carrier questions and service needs via telephone, email, or mail. Fully understands the role and functions of the commercial insurance broker.

13. Adheres to agency standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent in; college degree preferred. Minimum of ten years’ experience in commercial insurance in brokerage environments.

Experience/Skills:

• State of Alaska P&C Insurance License, required.

• Knowledge and application of property and casualty insurance.

• Must have ability to back-up Account Executive in periods of absences.

• Has a desire to continue to learn. Takes direction well.

• Be proficient in all aspects of agency product administration.

• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products.

• Experience with multiple workforce technology systems and adaptability to embrace new technology.

• Project management skills and experience.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with co-workers and managers.

• Capability of effective planning and priority setting.

Commercial Customer Service Representative II

Reports To: Commercial Lines Manager

Primary Functions: Perform administrative functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Become aware of and understand company culture so goals and objectives can be reached in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.

2. Regular sessions to learn and develop position and responsibilities.

3. Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

4. Perform insurance functions necessary to support an Account Manager to include, but not limited to, processing claims, billings, file maintenance, audits & policy changes

5. Prepare reports and or schedules of insurance

6. Sets and follows up on suspense items

7. Complete and issue form letters

8. Set-up insurance policy binders

9. Issue LPR/Cancellations

10. Order Loss Runs

11. Develop client/carrier relationships to progress the client experience for our services

12. Assist in renewal of direct bill existing accounts

13. Able to handle Finance Contracts

14. Identify policy discrepancies, policy check-in

15. Respond to client and carrier questions within his/her ability

16. Communicate with Account Manager concerning items on client insurance policies

17. Support 2-6 account managers with routine tasks

18. Complete required continuing education to maintain license requirements.
